1. Introduction

Welcome to Biotide Studio (“we”, “us”, “our”).

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of our services, including consultations, treatment planning, and any associated clinical care provided by our practitioners.

By engaging with our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Nature of Our Services

Biotide Studio is a doctor-led clinic offering integrative and alternative healthcare services.

We are not a general practice (GP clinic) and do not provide comprehensive primary care, emergency care, or ongoing general medical management.

Our services are intended to complement - not replace - your existing healthcare providers. You are encouraged to maintain an ongoing relationship with your regular GP and relevant specialists.

Our services are not suitable for urgent or emergency medical care.
If you require urgent assistance, please call 000 or attend your nearest emergency department.

3. Scope of Care & Treatment Philosophy

Our approach is individualised, clinician-led, and evidence-informed, however:

  • Some therapies we discuss or prescribe may involve off-label use of medications

  • Some treatments may be considered emerging, adjunctive, or outside standard first-line care

  • Clinical evidence, long-term safety data, and outcomes may vary across individuals and indications

All treatment recommendations are made based on a risk–benefit assessment specific to you.

You acknowledge that:

  • Not all therapies are appropriate for all patients

  • Participation in treatment is voluntary

  • Outcomes cannot be guaranteed

4. Eligibility

To use our services, you must:

  • Be aged 18 years or older

  • Reside in Australia

  • Have the legal capacity to consent to treatment

  • Provide accurate, complete, and current health information

5. Consultations

Consultations are conducted via secure telehealth.

Joining a waitlist or submitting an enquiry does not guarantee an appointment.

6. Telehealth Limitations

Where services are delivered via telehealth, you acknowledge that:

  • Clinical assessment may be limited compared to in-person care

  • Physical examination is restricted

  • Diagnostic accuracy may be impacted by the information available

You agree to seek in-person medical care where advised or clinically appropriate.

7. Clinical Decision-Making & Prescribing

All treatment decisions are made at the sole discretion of the treating practitioner.

  • A prescription or therapy may not be offered if deemed clinically inappropriate

  • Additional information or investigations may be required

  • Ongoing treatment may be conditional on follow-up review

We do not guarantee access to any specific medication, product, or therapy.

8. Compounded Medications & Peptide Therapies

Where prescribed, some treatments may be:

  • Compounded by licensed Australian pharmacies

  • Supplied via third-party providers

  • Used off-label or outside conventional first-line indications

You acknowledge that:

  • Compounded medications are prepared specifically for individual patients

  • Availability, formulation, and supply may vary

  • Certain therapies (including peptide-based treatments) may have limited long-term safety data for some uses

Biotide Studio does not manufacture medications and is not responsible for:

  • Pharmacy operations

  • Medication supply or availability

  • Delivery or cold chain logistics once dispatched

9. Patient Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete medical information

  • Disclose all medications, supplements, and health conditions

  • Follow treatment recommendations and instructions

  • Seek timely medical care if your condition changes

If you experience side effects or adverse events, you must:

  • Seek appropriate medical attention

  • Notify us as soon as reasonably possible

10. Fees, Payments & Refunds

  • Consultation fees are payable at the time of booking unless otherwise specified

  • Fees are non-refundable once a consultation has occurred, regardless of outcome

  • If you are deemed unsuitable for treatment, consultation fees still apply

  • Missed appointments or late cancellations (within 24 hours) incur the full consultation fee.

Any billing concerns must be raised within 7 days of the transaction.

11. Cancellations & Attendance

We require reasonable notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

Failure to attend a scheduled consultation may result in:

  • Loss of appointment fee

  • Additional charges for rebooking

12. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Treatment responses vary between individuals.

We do not guarantee:

  • Clinical improvement

  • Specific therapeutic outcomes

  • Suitability for ongoing care

Any testimonials or information provided are for general informational purposes only.

13. Medical Information & Website Content

All information provided by Biotide Studio, including website and educational materials:

  • Is general in nature

  • Is not intended as a substitute for personalised medical advice

  • Should not be relied upon without consultation with a qualified healthcare professional

14. Privacy & Data Handling

We handle personal and health information in accordance with:

  • The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)

  • Australian Privacy Principles (APPs)

Your information may be shared with:

  • Treating practitioners

  • Pharmacies

  • Service providers involved in your care

We take reasonable steps to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Biotide Studio and its practitioners are not liable for:

  • Variability in treatment outcomes

  • Adverse reactions or complications

  • Delays or issues involving third-party providers

  • Patient failure to follow medical advice

You acknowledge that all medical care involves inherent risks.

16. Appropriate Use

You agree to:

  • Engage respectfully with our team

  • Provide truthful information

  • Not misuse services or engage in unlawful behaviour

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services at any time.

17. No Medico-Legal or Occupational Assessments

Biotide Studio does not provide:

  • Work capacity assessments

  • Fitness-for-duty certifications

  • Legal or medico-legal reports

  • Occupational health clearances

We may provide clinical documentation (e.g. consultation notes or prescriptions) where appropriate, but not formal medico-legal opinions.

18. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and materials provided by Biotide Studio remain our intellectual property and may not be reproduced without permission.

19. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
